Josée Davignon, President

For 10 years, Josée Davignon has been channeling her energy, zeal and know-how toward businesses and organizations operating in a variety of industry sectors across Quebec, Canada and internationally.

Josée is widely recognized for her acute organizational and management skills. She is also a dynamic team leader. Under her guidance, Avec Brio has masterminded and orchestrated myriad events, from large scale events attended by 1000+ guests, to smaller and more intimate affairs for groups of 20.

She has been a keynote speaker at several conferences, where she has shared her expertise and experience with tourism students and public relation professionals.

Josée is very active in the community. She works with PITREM (a job bank and search program), the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal's Operation Back to School, and Déclic (a youth training and employment Initiative). She also speaks to young people about her own career path experiences and about starting and managing a business.

Josée is the founder of Avec Brio. She is the ultimate strategic partner when it comes to planning, managing and executing your events. Relentlessly aware of your objectives and always mindful of your needs, she opens the door to all the options available to you.

Manuel B. Soto, Artistic Director

Manuel B. Soto is an event “creator” in the purest sense. He has been developing, writing and staging events for over 16 years. Manuel’s extensive solid experience and richly unique vision combine to deliver imaginative and effective concepts that generate impact.

He has organized national sales meetings and launches in the pharmaceutical industry. He has planned conventions and strategic thinking meetings at the institutional and government levels. Finally, Manuel has been the brainchild behind numerous corporate galas, recognition and motivational events.

His adaptability, multiple talents and excellent command of French, English and Spanish enable him to work nationally and internationally. His reputation locally, provincially and nationally is a seal of success, making each event a unique and exciting experience.

Louis St-André, Artistic Director

Show creator, producer and artistic director Louis St-André has a flair for the spectacular and a love of discipline. His imagination is always in lockstep with the dynamics of the organization he serves. He has wowed thousands of guests and delegates from myriad industries spanning finance, tourism, real estate, food and professional associations.

Louis also teaches acting and stage production, and sits on juries for competitions such as the Festival international de la chanson de Granby. In 1998, he was awarded a creative-research grant by the Conseil des arts et des letters du Québec.

In television, he has worked as an acting coach for a group of aspiring artists on the surprise hit show Mixmania. He was the artistic director for the 2003 live tour of Mixmania, and received a platinum award for his artistic direction of the year’s bestselling show.

Annie Murphy, Project Coordinator

From album launches to project financing, corporate events to human resource management, Annie Murphy has yet to refuse a challenge worth meeting. Detail oriented and highly technically proficient, she imbues every project she is assigned to with her coordination skills, artistic direction and versatile imagination.

An able communicator, she has sound experience in animation and audiovisual production, stage design, event production, visual arts – experience that she has acquired working with some of Quebec’s biggest production firms.

Her extensive know-how and enthusiasm have found a home at Avec Brio. As Project Manager, she always manages to inspire the team to surpass itself.

Jean-François Charest, Project Coordinator

Having worked in the industry since 1999, Jean François Charest has a wealth of experience in event management. Jean François started his career at ESG UQAM’s Chair in Tourism. As a coordinator, he took part in several successful events, such as the international conferences “Tourism & Entertainment: A Star Couple for Attracting Visitors” and “Tourism and the Trend Towards Consolidation”. In June 2005, Jean François decided to take on new challenges and launched out into business, convinced about the role of events: communication. Quebec’s Tourism Department asked him to organize its “Journées annuelles de l’accueil touristique” (Annual Tourist Welcome Days). The MGP UQAM programs entrusted him with the management of their 30th anniversary event. In July 2007, Jean François joined the Avec Brio team as a project leader.

Over the years, Jean François has become skilled in the analysis and understanding of issues surrounding event projects. Through his training, he has gained valuable insight into project management and learned how to apply his knowledge to events. His involvement and his wide array of experiences have confirmed his great interest for this very dynamic industry. His success lies in his professionalism, his thoroughness, his curiosity and his ability to synthesize, all of which are key to the achievement of any event project.

Bianca Nolasco, Project Coodinator

Bianca Nolasco has been involved in the field of corporate and cultural events for more than 10 years. With excellent analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture, she is recognized for her highly developed organizational and teamwork expertise. She is extremely competent at creating and coordinating a variety of events, managing sponsorships and, in particular, overseeing corporate training and recognition activities. She has a passion and flair for planning, organizing and developing creative alternatives while respecting your budget and objectives. In addition to her vast experience, Bianca has enrolled in event coordination and cultural leadership courses at UQAM to further enhance her professional development.

Karine Brunet, Assistant

Karine, bachelor’s degree in international commerce and marketing, has worked in administration for several years and possesses an innate sense of organization. She has worked closely, with national and international firms, in the development of new markets, project coordination, accounting, invoicing and administration (UQAM, College de Maisonneuve, CCIEIM, Novasia, etc.). These various experiences have given her, among other things, an acute sense for details.

With the passing of the years, Karine knew how to combine efficiency and easily adapt to her surroundings with a constant desire to accompany her clients and participate in the development of their enterprise. She firmly believes in teamwork and advocates, above all else, the human approach.
